Our Story

The Formal Theory Study Group (FTSG) is a platform for scholars working on different aspects of musical form to interact and exchange ideas. Throughout the year, the FTSG organises reading groups, writing clubs and workshops, which not only foster stimulating discussion, but also strengthen the connections between the members of the musicological community and beyond.

FTSG is supported by the Society for Music Analysis (SMA).
